This site and Chris Jones Gaming are designed to compliment each other.

Gaming Unlimited TV was originally set up as a video sharing website, on which gamers could upload gaming related videos. While this was a great idea, our team realized that we’d be trying to compete against the giants of the video sharing industry, such as YouTube, Game Trailers and Daily Motion and in their shadow, we’d merely be trying to reinvent the wheel.

A rethink was in order and Gaming Unlimited TV took the form you see today. Instead of independent video hosting, GUTV (as we abbreviate it) exists as a focal point, if you will. A lot of Gamers understandably choose YouTube to gain as much exposure as they can for their video, but even in the categorized world of YouTube, videos can get lost in the crowd and that’s where Gaming Unlimited TV comes in.

By simply pasting in the link of the Gamer’s YouTube video, Gaming Unlimited TV automatically features that video. No re-uploading, no waiting time, the Gamer’s video is featured on Gaming Unlimited TV and when enough Gamers do that, Gaming Unlimited TV will become a focal point and filter for YouTube Gaming Videos.

Furthermore, by following this simple process, Gaming Unlimited offers the option of searching through the YouTube videos featured by the year they were made.

You will see some videos which are not from YouTube here and there, from GUTV’s past as a video hosting website. A secondary feature of GUTV allowed members to upload audio content, such as podcasts, little blurbs, rants, and such. Images as well.

Pre Sept. 2010, the site only allowed YouTube embeds. In Mid September 2010 this site was put on a new server - thus allowing complete functionality. Thanks to Mindwipe as well for his advice during that process. On and around July 13, 2011, Chris made the move to not allow direct uploads, and only allowed YouTube embeds once again.  You will see the occasional non-YouTube videos here, as the admins occasionally add new content like that.
